BASIC ORIENTATION - ACTIVITY
   
     IGH-MOSTAR d.o.o. is an organizational unit within the Croatian Civil Engineering Institute Inc. Zagreb, which deals with building technology, capacity, stability, usability and durability of materials of all types of structures.

IGH-MOSTAR explore, promote and solves problems for all types of construction engineering and construction in all phases of the preparatory work, design, construction and use.

Principal activities include:

          - scientific work
          - studies and expertise
          - design
          - quality assurance

ZNANSTVENI RAD
   

IGH-MOSTAR d.o.o. continuously carried out experimental and analytical work on the application of existing materials and structural systems, including:

          - Basic and applied scientific research in materials and structural systems
          - R & D of new materials,
          - Training of designers and contractors holding specialized seminars
          - Training students as part of graduate studies
          - The participation of experts in scientific research programs and international research projects
          - Investigation of reinforced concrete structures based on separately defined research programs.

 
   
STUDIES AND EXPERTISE
   
     The studies cover the materials and process design, construction solutions which includes:

          - Specific technical requirements for the materials and structures,
          - Analysis and optimization of structural solutions,
          - Analysis and optimization of technological processes,
          - Development and introduction of new materials and technologies,
          - Study the problem of durability of all types of structures.

     Expertise include professional and scientific-research work in area of design, implementation and execution of development and refinement of structures and structural engineering, geotechnical stability ..., which includes:

          - Determining the cause of damage or excessive deformation of bearing and non load-bearing structures,
          - Determining the state of security, usability and durability of recording the state structure and computational evidence of strength and stability,
          - Program design and construction materials testing as a basis for evaluating the safety and durability of structures,
          - Structural and technological research,
          - Determination of bearing capacity of foundation soil and ground subsidence calculations,
          - Determining the causes of subsidence,
          - Determination of slope stability slope, retaining structures, slope heel inside the rock mass ...
          - Hydrological and geological analysis.


 
   
DESIGN
     
It includes the following tasks:

          - Design of building road infrastructure,
          - Development projects, landscaping and protective structures (insurance Slope Slope, retaining and persistent structures, buildings for protection against wind and noise, water protection)
          - Development of environmental projects,
          - Designing the composition of mixtures for composite materials (mortar, concrete, grouting mixes)
          - The design of concrete for all types of structures and actions on structures related to issues of durability,
          - Preparation of projects of various types of rehabilitation facilities,
          - Development projects, supporting structures, the special type of foundation (piles, diaphragm, crates),
          - Development projects earth embankments, cuttings and heel ...


 
QUALITY ASSURANCE
     
This part of the activities include assurance programs and quality control:

          - Making insurance program and quality control structures in terms of security, usability and durability,
          - Consultation and supervision during construction of concrete, masonry, road and other structures,
          - Production of documents establishing the conformity of the materials incorporated into various types of structures (concrete, masonry, road ...),
          - Download building materials and construction of domestic and foreign suppliers,
          - Monitoring the behavior of structures and their elements in use and to systematically collect data about their safety and usability (monitoring)
          - Production of documents proving that materials, structural elements and structures as a whole that are not verified in practice or for which there are no relevant regulations and standards meet the requirements for ensuring the technical features essential for the construction (reliability, mechanical resistance and stability),
          - Control of reinforced concrete and masonry structures and construction of bridges in terms of mechanical resistance and stability,
          - Work in national and international committees for drafting regulations, guidelines and standards.


 
LABORATORY AND FIELD TESTS
     

U sastavu IGH-MOSTAR ustrojen je ispitni laboratorij prema principima europske norme EN 17025. Ispitivanja obuhvaćaju laboratorijska i terenska (in situ) ispitivanja. U suvremeno opremljenim laboratorijima za ispituju se fizikalna i mehanička svojstva građevinskih materijala i konstrukcija. Obuhvaćena su ispitivanja iz sljedećih oblasti:

Cestogradnja

          - prethodna ispitivanja svojstava materijala za izvedbu trupa i kolničke konstrukcije prometnica,
          - tekuća i kontrolna provjera svojstava upotrebljenih materijala i postignute kvalitete njihove ugradnje,
          - ispitivanje nosivosti i upotrebljivosti djelova konstrukcije.

Materijali i konstrukcije

          - mehanička svojstva materijala,
          - fizička svojstva materijala,
          - nerazorna ispitivanja materijala i konstrukcija,
          - razorna ispitivanja materijala i konstrukcija,
          - ispitivanja jednostavnijih prototipova i modela konstrukcija,           - ispitivanja nosivosti i upotrebljivosti konstrukcijskih elemenata,
          - ispitivanja prefabrikata nosivih i nenosivih konstrukcijskih elemenata,
          - pokusna opterećenja konstrukcija.

Geotehnika

          - mehanička svojstva poremećenih i neporemećenih uzoraka tla (parametri čvrstoće na smicanje, edometarska ispitivanja, triaksijalna ispitivanja, određivanje jednoaksijalne čvrstoće stjenovitih uzoraka, ispitivanja nekoherentnih materijala po standardnom Proctor-u, CBR opiti, ...),
          - fizička svojstva poremećenih i neporemećenih uzoraka tla (gustoća, jedinične mase, poroznost, vlažnost ...),
          - granulometrijske analize tla,
          - ispitivanja modula stišljivosti slojeva tla kružnom pločom,
          - ispitivanja vezana za klasifikaciju tla,
          - terenski istražni radovi i uzimanje neporemećenih i poremećenih uzoraka iz tla.

Within IGH-MOSTAR established a testing laboratory according to the principles of European Standard EN 17025th The studies include laboratory and field (in situ) testing. Road Construction

          - Preliminary studies of material properties for design of the hull and deck construction of roads,
          - Current and the control checks the properties of materials used and the individual quality of their installation,
          - Load testing and usability of parts of the structure.

Materials and Structures

          - Mechanical properties of materials,
          - Physical properties of materials,
          - Non-destructive testing of materials and structures,
          - Nondestructive testing of materials and structures,
          - Testing of prototypes and models of simple structures - portability and usability testing of structural elements,
          - Investigation of structural and non-bearing prefabricated structural elements,
          - Loads of structures trial.

Geotechnics

          - Mechanical properties of disturbed and undisturbed soil samples (the shear strength parameters, edometarska tests, triaxial tests, uniaxial tensile determination of rocky samples, testing nekoherentnih material in a standard Proctor, CBR experiments, ...),
          - The physical properties of disturbed and undisturbed soil samples (density, unit weight, porosity, humidity ...),
          - Size analysis of soil,
          - Test module compressibility of soil layers circular plate,
          - Tests relating to the classification of soils,
